      Register for an agent account whether you are an estate agent, mortgage broker or conveyancer. Share your unique link with your customers and they can search for accurate quotes from surveyors local to the property.

      Depending on the type of property being inspected customers may get instant quotes, bespoke quotes (usually received within 24-48 hours) or a mix of the two.

      Each surveyor has a profile that each customer can look through before deciding who to use. Customers can instruct online 24/7, the surveyor reviews the request and you can track progress through to the final report.

    • Which survey does my customer need?

      This mainly depends on the type of property being surveyed. Our interactive questionnaire helps you advise which survey may be most suited to the property purchase. Find out now!

    • How long does it take to get quotes?

      Once the quote form has been submitted we will start generating quotes. In most cases you will get some instant quotes as well as additional quotes within 24-48 hours from surveyors who only provide manual quotes.

      Where we believe you need a more tailored quote you will typically receive quotes within one or two business days. In a rush? Let us know and we will find you a surveyor as soon as possible.

    • Do you only offer home surveys?

      No… We only provide online quotes for home surveys currently, however, if you need a quote for any other type of survey (such as timber, drainage, asbestos, party wall etc) please feel free to get in touch and we will arrange quotes manually.

    • Who will see my search details?

      While we work with a large number of RICS Surveyors and RPSA surveyors we only pass your personal details to the surveyor you instruct to carry out your survey or any surveyors that need more information from the customer in order to provide a quote.

    • How do you vet your surveyors?

      We interview every surveyor, check their expertise, credentials, and insurance cover. We also only work with surveyors who are friendly and responsive with their communication – if we don’t enjoy dealing with a surveyor nor would you. We also check reviews from previous customers. Our surveyors are rated and reviewed by verified Surveyors Near Me clients after each job is completed to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

    • Why do my quotes come through at different times?

      As soon as we receive a quote from our surveyors we send it on for you to review immediately. Our surveyors operate independently and therefore provide their quotes to us at different times. We prefer to send them to you as soon as we get them rather than wait until we have heard back from each surveyor.

    • Why do some surveyors provide an instant quote and others provide a manual quote?

      At Surveyors Near Me we like to give our surveyors the flexibility to provide as accurate a quote as possible for you. Each surveyor has a different preference for which types, age and value of property they are happy to provide an instant quote for and which they prefer to spend a bit of extra time reviewing.

    • Is the price quoted the final cost?

      All prices quoted are the surveyors total fee. If they are VAT registered and charge VAT, the fee listed will already include this. The fee may only change if the information provided was not accurate.

      There are a number of factors you should take into account when deciding which surveyor to go with. These include the number of years they have been qualified, their responsiveness in providing a quote and their reviews. You should also look at their profile to see which surveyor provides the information you want in your report. Whilst all surveyors provide reports that meet the minimum requirements set by RICS or the RPSA, others go above and beyond giving you even more information or ongoing help than is required.

    • How are surveyors rated?

      The surveyor rating either shows reviews that have been left by previous customers or a score based on all the available reviews found online if previous customers have not left any feedback.

    • What is my relationship with Surveyors Near Me once I instruct a surveyor?

    • What is a RICS Surveyor?

      A RICS Surveyors is accredited by the Royal Institution of Surveyors (RICS). They are the regulatory body for Surveyors and provide a guarantee that your surveyor is trained and qualified to carry out surveys. They will be qualified either to FRICS (Fellow), MRICS (Member) or AssocRICS (Associate) level and hold Professional Indemnity cover.

    • What is an RPSA Surveyor?

      A RPSA Surveyor is a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association. They are a different regulatory body for surveyors specialising solely in residential property. RPSA surveyors are audited each year to ensure they are maintaining high standards within their Home Condition Survey or Building Survey.

    • Are your surveyors local?

      Yes. We work with individual surveyors, small local firms and nationwide surveying groups. However, in each case the surveyor most local to you and experienced to your type of property will conduct the survey. You will only receive quotes from local surveyors.

    • What if a customer has paid for a surveyor and they can’t provide the report in time?

      This doesn’t happen often but if you find yourself in that position either drop us an email at hello@surveyorsnearme.com or call us on 0203 603 1976. We will contact your surveyor and others if needed to make sure it happens on time.

    • How is personal data used?

      The information provided is used to generate quotes. All card payments and details are processed via Stripe, a secure third party payment gateway, to guarantee safety. All personal data held by our site is fully encrypted above industry standard. If you wish to request the information we have on file please make your request in writing in line with our privacy policy (located in our Terms and Conditions which can be found in the our website footer).

    • What do I do if I need to make a complaint about my surveyor?

      This isn’t a frequently asked question – in fact we haven’t been asked at all! Our surveyors are all RICS or RPSA qualified – this means that you shouldn’t have any issues. But, if you do, this means that they are required to have a complaints handling procedure. Request this from your surveyor and this will advise you on how to rectify your issue.
